2022 Players Championship Leaderboard: Live Coverage, Golf Scores, Live Stream, Highlights On Friday – CBS Sports

After a soggy first round at the 2022 Players Championship, more rain is expected Friday as the first round wraps up and second round gets underway. Hopefully, it stays away for longer than it did Thursday when it delayed action for a total of five hours. If not, there’s a real threat of this tournament running into Monday morning.

Friday’s golf is going to be odd. There were a handful of golfers in Round 1 who never even teed off, and they’ll start their first rounds early while others — like Collin Morikawa, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas — will finish the vast majority of their first rounds. All of those golfers will then have to turn around and immediately play Round 2 while the golfers who finished Thursday will likely have most of the day off.

TPC Sawgrass was soaked and played like it on Thursday with golf balls spinning and zipping all over the place and providing tons of scoring opportunities for the best in the world. Plenty took advantage of it, and if it remains as saturated Friday as it was Thursday, plenty more will take advantage. What will go down?
