No matter what you do, wired headphones with gold plated jack + amplifier will be better than any lagging wireless headphones. Maybe grannies won’t notice the difference, but audiophiles and gamers sure will.

Good luck with that, there are so many flavours of headphones – much more than “gaming crap” and regular headphones.

Anonymous, 13 hours agoAll gaming headphones are horrible if you care about sound quality. Go for big brands. Not 100% accurate. Sure you have tosh like HyperX, Steelseries and others is just wasted time and money, but SPC Viro Infra for example, that’s actually usable for its price.
Sadly, a lot of big brands left the space + Sennheiser is pretty much gone. AudioTechnica, Beyerdynamic are still holding their ground, but brands like Hifiman often offer better value for the money.
I am not taking Sony, Beats and other tosh into equation … I hope that’s clear. I tried to make a semi serious comment, so I am ignoring brands that do not deserve to even mention.

Two very different markets, gaming and audiophile, one exarrated for excitement, the other adds nothing or takes anything away, just as original composer intended.

i read somewhere in gsmarena.com that somone comments about todays companies are trying to make shareholders happy
exactly like those companies producing unrelated products and selling high price, rely on marketing, to put the product into certain market and to look … wow … the points are diversify products, sell and sell more, gain profit, shareholder happy
the customers who are not understand the core building block of products are the victims, the customer must pay for such as high price to believe the advertisements
true audiophile will always rely to audiophile companies for both speakers and headphone, even when they play games, such companies are sennheiser, dynaudio, ultrasonne, bowers wilkins, sonus faber, wilson audio … just try to compare gaming audio to those audiophile companies, how on earth that gaming companies dare to claim thier products have precise sound ??? even … lets say … philips shp9500 is consider cheap and much much much natural audio reproduction and has much better sound staging compare to those double triple price gaming headphones even with dedicated dac

This is like a comment of a day:
The headset comes with two sets of pads, a 100% protein leather set and a hybrid with fabric mesh on the outside and protein leather on the inside. Despite ASUS calling the former a fast-cooling protein leather, it gets intensely warm in there unless you are in very cool climates. It was impossible for me to wear them for more than a few minutes in summer without my ears cooking like a Thanksgiving turkey.
Made me laugh a lot. Almost spilled or better to say spitted my coffee over my monitor.

It’s funny because for that amount you can get a more than decent desktop mic and a very nice audiophile headset as well. conclusion: don’t buy overpriced headset from motherboard manufacturers.
