Bird Bus Sales, a dealer and distributor of school and commercial buses, is expanding in Plainview.
The company purchased a 6,900-square-foot flex building on .57 acres at 202 Terminal Drive for $1.95 million. It plans on using the building for corporate offices and training.
Bird Bus already occupies a 14,000-square-foot building on about 2 acres across the street at 155 Terminal Drive. The company also maintains another location in Elmsford, N.Y.
The property at 202 Terminal Drive had been owned by Pro-Tek Services, which specializes in refurbishing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment and relocated to 5,137 square feet of leased space at 245 Newtown Road.
Ralph Perna of Schacker Realty represented the buyer, while Kyle Burkhardt and Patrick Ciancimino of Cushman & Wakefield represented seller Pro-Tek in the sales transaction.
