ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) – The annual Ink Master Tattoo Expo took place at the Ector County Coliseum over the weekend.
Art fanatics came out to see new art from over 75 different tattoo artists. Not all the artists who participated are local.
Featured artist, Elvis Ramos from Corona, California, has been tattooing for over 10 years. He says he loves to come out to Odessa. He always learned something new.
“I’ve been coming out here to Odessa since I want to say 2016… because in California, I do a lot of the same ideas. You know, there’s nothing wrong with that. But sometimes coming out of here I get people that have a different perception or different interests, and they like the style that I do so I’m able to do a collaboration with their ideas and my style, and it just makes it more fun, you know, more enjoyable,” said Elvis Ramos, tattoo artist.
Award-winning tattoo artist Hector Mancha says he is the most thankful for his clients and supporters.
“We took best of day yesterday It feels great, honestly. Back at a convention is always fun. Being around the guys at the shop and here and winning awards is even better,” said Hector Mancha, Evil Ink tattoo artist.
