There’s a saying among theater people that goes “The key to acting is honesty – once you learn to fake that, you’ve got it licked.”
The same applies to politics. Whenever I see a politician give a stem-winder of speech in favor of all that is good and right against an opponent who supports all that is evil and wrong, I ask myself if the politician in question could argue the other side with equal passion.
