Mark Zuckerberg‘s sister kicked off a cryptocurrency ad campaign marketed to women with a hilarious blockchain tribute to Adele.
The coin’s new ad features Randi Zuckerberg, 39, in a fur-collared cardigan, sort of like the one Adele wore in her ‘Hello’ video, lip syncing a crypto-themed version of the same song.
‘Hello, it’s me,
‘Would you like to learn exchanging crypto–cur–rency?’ she sings in Adele’s soulful, yet fragile way.
She tweeted out the video last week, saying ‘Crypto should be fun.’
And ‘Apologies Adele.’
Zuckerberg, who left her brother’s social media company after 10 years because of the lack of women in tech, is a brand advisor for OKCoin, which promised to dedicate $1 million to bringing more women to crypto.
They hope that half of their currency will be held by women by 2025.

OKcoin says its their mission to encourage women to explore ‘decentralized finance’ which is crypto lingo for keeping your money in a digital wallet and out of the bank, free of fees.
‘It’s always been a passion of mine to inspire and support women in technology, investing, and leadership, and I’m looking forward to continuing to do so as a member of Okcoin’s brand advisory council,” Zuckerberg said in a press release.
The less-known sibling of the Facebook founder has dabbled in various different media careers since splitting with the social media giant.
She’s an entrepreneur, investor, bestselling author, award-winning producer, and founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media and the Zuckerberg Institute, according to the press release.
She also founded a new media company called Hug, ‘a decentralized community platform that fuels and rewards the curation and discovery of your favorite creators.’

She also did a stint in the Tony-award winning musical ‘Rock of Ages.’
The oldest sister of Mark, Randi famously split with the company because she felt that women were being left out of the conversation in tech.
‘I always felt very complicated about gender roles in Silicon Valley,’ she told CNN Business.
‘I loved what I did at Facebook.
‘[But] I hated being the only woman in almost every room that I was in for 10 straight years.’
She also penned a book called ‘Pick 3’ which argued that women can’t have it all, family, friends, fitness, health and career and that they have to decide which of those they really want and go for it.
Trying to do it all, she says, leaves us frustrated and feeling inadequate, but we can succeed ‘if we pick three’, and while we need to achieve some balance, we cannot do it all every day.
The Adele-themed video, which is complete with soulful black and white footage, is not the first time Zuckerberg had dabbled with music videos.
In 2008, she did an Apple iPhone music video inspired by a Pussycat Dolls song called ‘Don’t you wish your cellphone was hot like me.’
“Cryptocurrency has huge potential to make massive strides in creating a more equitable system, and it’s an honor to join in the Okcoin mission to create a more inclusive future of finance,” Zuckerberg said.
